Re: Best edition to start?

I was going to request the link..thanx. Looks like a first edition with charts and copyright info.
A few subtle differences than mine.
As I said it might be a library book
A little odd that there are no pictures of the text in the book.

Re: Best edition to start?

If it's hardcover then it's probably the fourth edition. Not what your looking for.

Re: Best edition to start?

I would grab the 1st edition if you can. A much more basic and clear approach to the theory.
Reading the 4th edition can be frustrating at times.

Re: Lydian mode IIIB/minor+5

It is a little confusing using both the 5 and #5 in this chord.
Voiced down from the top note C in close position it's a Cmaj7
which makes more sense, though he names it from the bass(E)
An inversion of modal tonic 1 chords !! (from the 59 edition)

Re: Part 5 of 5 - "Against Again"/ 9 Tone Scale

I've really found your posts quite interesting starting with "Mother of Tongues" but need to go back and re-read and try to get a better understanding of some of the terms and processes. ex: A brief recap of the logic. There are basically five chord colors that belong to the lydian scale. ...

Re: I don´t remember it!!! about dimished chords.

Hi Fer Yes the Edim chord relates to A7b9 but also C7b9,Eb7b9,and Gb7b9. If you lower any tone of Edim{E G Bb Db)by a half step you get the four seventh chords-A7,C7,Eb7,Gb7. Or think down a maj 3rd from any Edim cord tone. Now this is common music theory and not unique to the LCC. Of course there a...
